Adwoods Media is a visual storytelling studio based on Vancouver Island. We create professional photo and video content that helps businesses, real estate teams, architects, designers, and makers present themselves with clarity and credibility.

The direction officially launched in 2025, but it started much earlier. Long before it became a service, it was a personal practice. Friends, colleagues, and local businesses kept asking Alex for help with photo and video because they knew he had been doing it for years. Not as a job, but as a serious passion.

Where It Came From

Adwoods Media grew naturally out of Adwoods Design Inc., where we create architectural visualizations that help sell what does not exist yet. Media is the other side of the same idea. It is about the real world. Real places. Real people. Real atmosphere. In a time when digital content is easier than ever to fake, honest visuals become a competitive advantage.

Our focus is simple. Capture what is true, present it with taste, and make it usable. For listings, portfolios, websites, social platforms, pitch decks, and long-term branding.

    The Founder

    Adwoods Media was founded by Alex Smirnov. His background is architecture, construction, and business. That combination shapes how he sees things. He doesn’t just capture visuals. He looks for structure, purpose, and what the audience needs to understand in seconds.

    For clients, this means a more intentional production process. The visuals are created not only to look good, but to fit real workflows, real marketing, and real decision-making.
